Joe Mauer won the AL MVP award with an almost unanimous selection. He got 27 out of 28 votes, with the one that got away being for... Miguel Cabrera? Seriously? What the fuck did he do this year?
Mark Teixeira and Derek Jeter came in second and third, and the Steinbrenners threw a hissy fit when they found out the MVP voters took their money and ran. Oh well, I guess a World Series and some Gold Gloves are the only awards you can buy.
Anyways, congrats to Joe and we look forward to seeing you on the 2011 Red Sox roster.
