Plaxico Burress has officially been sentenced for shooting himself in the leg and it turns out that he will be locked up for two years. In reality he will serve about 20 months, with time off for good behavior, unless of course, he joins a prison gang and shanks the resident snitch who rats him out for his half gallon of pruno. You never know.

Anyways, Plax wants to play in the NFL when this is all over, but I don't know too many teams who would take a 36 year-old convicted felon wide receiver on. Except of course the Raiders, because Al Davis doesn't trust that rumor-mill we call the media. That is, if Al Davis is still the owner of the Raiders in two years. You never know.

So if this story teaches any of you gun-toting, touchdown-catching, night-clubbing wide receivers out there anything, it's: if you carry a gun on you, don't trust your sweatpants waistband to hold it up. You could get two years in the clink for it. Just wear a pair of jeans. Don't say I didn't warn you.
