To fill the void of posts from now until the bowl game, we have decided to count down the top 21 Christmas/Holiday songs out there.   And just because we’re so awesome (and expect a good bit of banter in the comments) we’re not only going for songs, but the specific version of the songs.  Boo yah.  That just happened.  Give a listen after the jump.

Anyways, we start off at the bottom of the list.  The song to start off the list is none other than “Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer” by Elmo & Patsy.

Let me start off by saying I do not like this song.  It was CGally’s choice to be here.  Even though I don’t like it, I understand it’s worth to this list.  It’s a classic.  It’s one of the first funny Christmas songs released.  It’s timeless.  Did you know this thing was written and released in 1979?  I mean shit.  I thought, when I was a kid, that the thing got released in like 1992.  So it’s definitely timeless.

The question remains, however, what charges does Santa get brought up on in this situation?  It’s snowing, hard, and it’s dark out.  Grandma is hopped up on some ‘nog.  I’m sure Santa is loaded on tons of milk and cookies.  That has got to create some form of intoxication.  I mean he’s arguably a bigger celebrity than anyone out there.  Does he get the Donte Stallworth treatment?  The Jim Leyritz treatment?  What government has jurisdiction in the North Pole?  Canada?  Would the extradite Santa to the US to face charges? What about the reindeer?  Are they considered the vehicle and thus face no charges?  Are they considered the driver?   I WANT ANSWERS DAMMIT.

But here it sits at #21.  Grandma Got run over by a Reindeer.
