Singer/guitarist Alex Chilton died Wednesday of a heart attack. He was 59. The musician, known for his output with the Box Tops and his lesser-known but influential rock band Big Star, died unexpectedly in New Orleans.
I think I speak for everyone when I say: Wait this is a real guy?
Apparently, yes, Alex Chilton is not just the subject of a kick-ass Replacements song you can play on Rock Band. He was an actual human being, and a well-respected musician, as a matter of fact. And now he's dead. Which is sad.
So, out of respect for Mr. Chilton, here is the homage to him, Replacements-style.
