Alright, so March/April/May madness went off without a hitch. Well maybe a little bit of a hitch. Ok, a big fucking hitch. But we're going to try this again. This time with simpler options that everyone has an opinion on. We're going to do a "Dead Time During the Summer before HateFest and Football Season" Madness. Our topic of choice? Food, of course. Ok, so it's going to be the same set up as the Movie Quotes one, only it won't suck. We're going to have four regions, Fruits, Vegetables, Meat, and Cheese. Why these four groups? Because I fucking said so, that's why. And everyone most likely has an opinion on all the contestants. I don't feel like typing the 64 items up here, so you'll just have to learn them as we go. There are no real randos in there, but there might be some less common options. It's kind of tough to find 16 different kinds of meat that are relatively common, if you know what I mean.
Some ground rules to go over: THe foods are classified culinarily. Not botanically. That means tomatoes are in fact classified as vegetables. If we went botanically, half the veggies would be fruits, so fuck off. Second, the meats are classified by animal, not cuts. Otherwise we could have 16 teams in the meat section solely from a cow. Except for veal. That one is separate because veal and beef are completely different in my mind. So this means if you love bacon, vote for pork. If you love ham, vote for pork. If you like fat back, vote for fucking pork. Understood? Some meats are grouped together, because I wanted to group them together. Therefore goose, duck, etc is classified as waterfowl. Makes sense right? I think that's about it so far for the ground rules. We won't have any set amount of time for voting right now, but we will figure that out later. Remember, this isn't just for fun. This is to determine the best food in the entire world. Take it seriously. Ok, don't really, this is just for shits and gigs.
Anyways, look out for the shit when it gets posted, I might start today or I may wait til tomorrow. Who knows? It's almost summer.
