After flirting with staying above .500, my boys in Boston evened it back out to stay at .500.  This blows.  Is this what it's like being a Pittsburgh fan?  I guess not, because after all, I still have hope.  Shitsburgh fans lost that at least 6 seasons ago, I'm assuming.

Well after this, apparently very uneventful week, the standings remain the same.  All teams win percentage took a hit, but the NL Central is still wide open.  Pittsburgh and Chicago moved up in the standings despite the happenings of this past week and are only 5 games back of 1st place Cincy.

Here's a question for all you Pirates fan [sic], would you rather have a record above .500 or win your division?  This would take a very large leap to assume that the NL Central would have to be fucking awful and no team would win half their games, but I still pose the question.  IF, and very big if, the Pirates could win the division, and most assuredly get swept in the first round of the playoffs, would that be considered as much a win as a plus .500 season?  CGally, we look to you to put your thoughts in the comment section.

One final note:  how fucking SHOCKED are you that the Nationals have been the best team in this little poll thus far?  I mean they're four games back of the Phightins and only three games back in the win column. And now they will be getting Stephen "Jesus" Strasburg (ed. note: already picked him up off the waiver wire, so fuck you CGally and Maniak) soon, and possibly even Ray Oswalt.  Could the Nationals be a force to be reckoned with?  Hahahaha, sometimes I say stupid things, sorry about that.  But seriously, could they?
