Can anyone else believe how fast this season in going by? This happens every year, and I always get surprised.
We got the Heels this week. Predictions after the jump.
-------------------------------
First things first, we need to crown the winner of predictions. Last week's winner was none other than Bobby the Ginger!
For guessing the closest score, only 4 points off, Bobby wins:

Canada Dry Ginger Ale! Because he is so damn gingervating.
Anyways, enough of that, your predictions!
BDubs: Trap game my butt. Even though so many Hokies are worried about this game, UNC just lost their top rusher for the year and we will make the Tarholes one dimensional. Tyrod will be on point with 220 yards and 2 TDs and RMFW will be looking to avenge that costly fumble he had last year against these guys. Hokies roll to a 31-13 victory.
DiP: 40-17 hokies
d_w: 41-17 hokies win, gregory gets in the endzone to join the party.
BBull: 30-13 Hokies. I'm not worried for two reasons: 1, this year's unit plays much better defense against the pass than the run, on that side of the ball our strengths match up and I give the edge to the Hokies. 2, face it, the only indispensable player on offense is Tyrod Taylor, everywhere else we have sufficient depth to cover our injuries (now if anything should happen to #5, I don't want to think about that).
Wright: Here comes the backlash...Tech won't go undefeated in the Coastal, it's just too good to be true. A win this Saturday coupled with a Miami loss clinches the division, so GT is our second favorite team this weekend. Thursday's game was amazing, and the Hokies are on a high after Wilson's sick return. Perfect trap game for the Heels, and Yates is playing better as of late. UNC gets the upset, 27-23, as Stinespring reverts back to his "classic" offensive scheme, and we come out sluggish in the first half yet again. Sets up a game at Miami next weekend with the Coastal on the line, which will make the win that much sweeter.
Poppa Gally: Without a doubt we will beat UNC……. Our defense will step up and have a pick and a blocked kick of some type…WE ARE DUE!!! VT 35 – UNC 10
CMU Football Analyst: 24-12 VT - The Heels don't score a single TD. By the way, wtf is a Tar Heel? *Too lazy to Google it.
Hokie Ambassador to Philly: Hokies don't fall into the trap and even with the injuries the offense doesn't miss a beat. Defense comes up big, Tryrod and RMFW both go for 2 TDs, Evans adds one more and the Hokies cruise 38 - 17
Maniak: i'll show you a prediction. the mustachio'd mad men of virginia tech roll these mother fuckers despite missing the namesake of my first born, Dyrell Roberts...the fastest man on the field, David Wilson, and our starting DE Chris Drager. its UNC. last year was a fluke and we all know it. let's make pretend this is four years ago when this exchange happened.
GC men are hanging out at a tailgate in Chapel Hill. Drinking, throwin the pigskin around, eating Bojangles, the usual. We begin to walk to the stadium.UNC fans get in their cars to leave
Maniak, dumbfounded: "where are you going? the game is about to start"
UNC fans: "You dont know what it's like to lose before the game even starts do you?"
*note: this actually happened at DOOK, but they are pretty much identical twin douchetastic schools so it counts.
35-10 and YA Tittyfuck or whatever his name is gets knocked out on the second series. count it.
MeetBag: Expect a close one... Hokies 31 - 23.
Hokie Guru: Hokies, I'm more worried about this game than any game on our schedule. This will be the closest game we play all year. Butch Davis is playing not be fired. I think he has to win the Coastal Division and maybe even the ACC championship in order to save his job from that sports agent and academic cheating scandal. UNC has no running game, but word is that the Tar Heels might pull the redshirt off of Ryan Houston (he was the RB who was benched because they did not want to play him because they were worried him being involved in the sports agent scandal... do they really pull a redshirt for three games? Really?). Hate to contradict CGally, but my last info says that that hamstring injury is still bothering RMFW... he says it's nagging injury... but a 90% RMFW is better than most running backs in the country. Hokies also have Dyrell Roberts and David Wilson on the bench for this one. Hokies cannot give the Heels any extra help (e.g. no turnovers). T.J. Yates will have a difficult time with our corners (Hosley and Rock) who have been lock down, as of late. I expect a very close game... I expect to see Stiney use DMFE more often in this game... and in the end, I expect Virginia Tech to win by the score of 23-20 (Hokies do not cover) with Chris Hazely being the MVP of the game.
Bobby the Ginger: Hokies 24 UNC 17. Tech takes the game, as RMFW gets revenge for hisfumble last year. He runs for 120 and 2 TDs. The Tech secondarybaits Yates into two picks.
GWay: 42-17 Hokies. Besides last week when they beat an (overrated) FSU, UNC hasn't beaten anyone of merit. The lack of a bajillion players who are injured or ineligible for UNC proves to be too much as Tyrod, RMFW, and Evans run through and over the 'Heels time and again.
JMcB: 35-21. UNC will make us sweat a little bit, but ultimately we'll be too much. And playing "not to get fired" is not the same as playing to win; we play to win. Also, hamstring injuries are very fickle and don't heal overnight so Williams is never truly guaranteed to be "100%" because he isn't sitting out the season. It won't be an issue.
Token Girl: 38-13 hokies. quack, quack, quack errrrrrrrrr i mean GOBBLE GOBBLE
CGally: Tyrod will not let us lose. RMFW is full strength, and RETURNING KICKS. 3 touchdowns for him, 2 for Tyrod. Hokies win 38 - 20.
The Northerner: 28-24, Hokies. This one is going to be another heart attack maker. Hokies prevail by winning the turnover margin and coming back in the second half. Tyrod makes yet another spectacular play.
There you have it. Now get out there and beat the tar out of UNC.
Gobble gobble, bitches.
GO HOKIES!!
