We were going to include this with the Georgia Tech preview, but it's a little too serious to go with our normal "we don't know what we're talking about so here's a bunch of Simpson's references" style.

There is nothing good or funny about this story. It's simply horrifying.

First of all, remember that Penn State was there for us. And Penn State students have such a strong love of their university, it's easy to identify with them. Right now, they are having to deal with the definition of evil on their campus, which is something else we can all identify with.

Right now, every Penn State fan I know is trying to find a way to get over this. Based on their thoughts, it seems that complete overhaul is the only way, which seems fairly reasonable to me.

There's been a few resignations thus far, but not enough. Yes, JoePa has to resign. For the good of the school, alumni, and the team, he has to resign. And it's difficult for me to reconcile anyone supporting him at the moment.

For me, anyone that knew anything needs to go. No, I don't think everyone should go to jail necessarily, but they certainly need to resign.

This isn't covering up a few kids smoking pot or selling rings or getting free stuff. Straight up paying players would be less of a reason to resign. To have the information that these men had and just let it go is COMPLETELY unacceptable. Is there an argument the other way? Feel free to try and convince me, but I honestly just don't see it.

Then there's his quote from Paterno tonight:
"The kids that were victims or whatever they want to say, I think we all ought to say a prayer for them."
Ummm... WHAT? Yeah Joe Pa, I'm gonna go with "victims".

Ok, NOW I'm all in on him resigning.

Anyways, just had to get all that out. It's pretty astounding the level of arogance he has right now.

We stand with the Nittany Lions, as they did with us. Soon, this will all be behind us, and we can continue discussing how overrated you are as a football team.

As much as we've ripped on Stinespring, we're reminded that things could be much, much worse. To be fair, we've always maintained that we think he is an outstanding individual and a good man, as far as we can tell. We just think he's really bad at running a collegiate football offense. It's never been anything personal.
