Game 8: Boston College Predictions

Boston College is 1-5 this season.  I would say “unbelievable” but come on, it’s totally believable.  More after the jump.

First things first.  For exceptional play on the field of...play, Logan Thomas, may I present to you, your nickname.  Tank Engine, you shall be again.  And what the hell is up with the “great” nicknames his teammates gave him?  LT3?  Big L?  Ours is totally better.  Anyways, good job man, keep it up. 

Not much to say about the Wake game.  We started off slow, per usual, then came back with fury.  I’m not above saying I was scared at the beginning of the game when we let them score easily, but after that, our defense took them to task.  So that’s that.  Let’s just move onto the winner of the prediction challenge.

When I ask for closer predictions, you all deliver.  We had tons of really close guesses, and another guess that was dead on.  That’s two on the season.  Craziness.  Anyway, the winner of the predictions challenge for this week is none other than:  Hokie Ambassador to Philly Milwaukee! For this win you get a prize that has two-fold utility!

A sexy demon costume!  Now you get a prize that relates to the Wake game AND a sexxxy Halloween costume.  Mee-OWWWW.

Let’s move onto the predictions for this week.

BDubs: 31-3 Hokies.

DiP: 48-17 hokies. .... David wilson rushes for near 200 and gets to go home with fluties daughter

d_w: 42 -17.. Hokies Win.. And the fans will win if they manage to get through the entire TV broadcast without showing Fluties TD.

Wright: Yours truly will be in attendance, introducing my parents to their first ever game at Lane. Not that Montel Harris mattered too much, but without him there's no one left on the squad that anyone in America could name if asked. DMFW rolls in the first half and everyone heads out to TOTS at the end of the third for rails. Hokies win 38-13.

Poppa Gally: …..BLOCKED KICK….VT 35 – BC 7

CMU Football Analyst: 24-14 fackin hokeys, tha eagles put up a gritty pedroia-esque performance but fall short in the end.

Hokie Ambassador to Philly Milwaukee: Good guys win 45 - 13

Maniak: unfortunately I will not be able to get down there myself...but America prevails and VT wins 52-17

Hokie Guru: DMFW goes for 176 in the ground, Boykin continues the montrous receiving efforts, and the defense pitches a shut out (and a pick 6).

Hokies win 56 - 0

JMcB: 48-17. In Logan Thomas we trust

GWay: BC always gives us trouble no matter how crappy they are. It's probably Stinespring's fault. Closer than we like, but Hokies win 30-21.

SHitzel: 36-3 Hokies...I'm feeling a safety this game....screw flutie flakes

Token Girl: 42-10 hokies!

CGally: 45 - 10 Hokies. Starters are out by the 4th, and BC scores in garbage time. The D finally comes to play, and gets 3 turnovers in the first half.

The Northerner: After the Wake game, my confidence in the team is at an all-time high.  I hope this doesn’t bite us in the ass.  31 – 10.
