Yes folks, that's right. Our long national nightmare is over.

Your humble editor has finished grad school, obtained employment, and can fully devote every waking hour to what used to be a low-level, seldom-read Virginia Tech sports blog.

Now that the worry of being unemployed with a mountain of school debt has subsided, I am pledging to you, our dozen readers, to be here as much as possible.

I realize that most people aren't even checking our site since it's the summer and all, and it's likely that no one will read this first post. But whatevs.

So what has happened in the sports world since we last spoke?

• The Penguins lost to the Flyers in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Eff you all.

• The NBA playoffs are apparently happening. Guh.

• YOUR PITTSBURGH PIRATES are currently in first place in the NL Central. Rest assured, by the time you read this, they will have fallen to last in the league.

• Some recruiting stuff happened. We never really payed attention to it before this year.... and that's not going to change.

So there you have it. We're back. Stuff happened. We'll make jokes this summer.

Feels like home.
