Game 3: Pitt Predictions
Alright alright alright. Autin Peay was not as good as we were hoping, but we won 42-7 and we didn’t get embarrassed. So it’s a win-win.
We got Pitt this week. Oh Pitt. You used to be good. Now? Meh.

Like we always do, we have to talk about the winner from last week. Now I know this person very intimately, and I have to say this person is, by far, the smartest, most handsome contributor to this or any other VT website. I think you know who I’m talking about, too. Yeah that’s right. It’s me. I won. I was one point off. ONE. POINT. OFF. Jealous? I know you are. But rules is rules, as we all know that CGally and myself cannot win the score prediction game. We just play for fun. So we need to pick the next closest predictor. That is none other than: CGally! No wait. He can’t win either. Even though he was two points off from the actual score. Man, we’re damn good. Turns out we have a two-way tie for third, though, and it is SHitzel and CMU Football Analyst! Yay! Two way tie!For this, third best guess, these two win:
A Governator doll! Apparently Austin Peay are known as the governors. I know, I know. I’ll try harder next week. Anyways, congrats! Enjoy your governator dolls.

BDubs: Where does everyone think this offensive explosion is coming from? We were lucky to put 42 on Austin Pee because without the two special teams plays, I bet we don't score more than 28 in that game. Given that Pitt has their backs against the wall at 0-2 and will be fired up to play an old rival combined with our inability to run any efficient offense, it will be a struggle that we eventually win. 31-21 Hokies. Consider me unconvinced this will be a runaway.
DiP: 30-10 hokies
d_w: Hokies win 41-7.. Pitt reconsiders their decision to join the ACC, 1 TD is a pick 6 and a blocked kick sets up another TD.
Wright: Have we even played Pitt since the Larry Fitzgerald days? We welcome them early to the ACC with a 30-10 win. Also, shout out to Caleb Farris, our backup center, who dates my sister. Not a bad guy for an athlete.
CMU Football Analyst: In 2002, I, along with then Tech Freshman C Gally, witnessed Larry Fitzgerald score 3 TD's against Bud's defense. 2 of them on the same exact play, fade in the end zone. Times have changed, and Pitt doesn't have a play making wide receiver like Fitz. Hokies win 30-10.
Poppa Gally: Tino “THE PIZZA MAN” Sunseri will throw at least 3 picks to VT D-backs!!! And of course we will block a kick and our “offensive explosion” will come from the defense!!
VT 35- Pitt 6
Hokie Ambassador to Philly Milwaukee: Offense show flashes of brilliance in between overthrown passes, dives into the back of the line, and more suspect play calling than the last time Cgally fired up Tecmo Superbowl. Bud, the defense, and the special teams show up to play, we get a pick 6, a big return, and a blocked kick, and the Hokies win 35-6.
Maniak: somehow the win last week didn't seem like a 42-7 win in person. there was no LIFE to that stadium. There better be a huge contingent of Hokies there. 31-13 Hokies
Hokie Guru: Pitt lost to Youngstown State by 14 points. Pitt lost to Cincy by 24 points. Therefore, it just goes to show you, that we will win by 38 points. Hokies win 50 to 12.
GWay: Barry's angry! I say with the week of rest, the Hokies defense tightens up and provides 10 points, while the offense starts to get in a rhythm this game and we finally get a 100 yard rusher. Hokies 37-Pitt 10.
SHitzel: Pitt is pretty bad...we can all agree on that...we have a slow start (play to our competition) but win big eventually 38-10
Token Girl: 34-13.....GO HOKIES!!
CGally: With the Gallaghers in the house, it's going to be a slaughter. 50-3 Hokies. With a blocked kick!!
The Northerner: I honestly don’t know much about Pitt, all I know is they used to scare me. Now, not so much. I’m going to go with 38-10. Logan Thomas is finally going to start hitting people in the numbers, and I think our defense is going to put some points on the board. Call me a dreamer.
